“Tell oligarch we are no longer tolerate their greed,” said Bernie Sanders who delivered a political speech in which he denounced a county with “so few people with so much wealth.” According to senator Sanders, “the stress we experience now is much less than stress people experienced before. He added that 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. “So many people struggle because the tax code is rigged,” he said.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani who did not show up at the rally won the election with 50.78%. For senator Sanders one of the reasons why Mamdani won was because he message was focusing on “Tax The Rich.”

Talking directly to New York state governor he said: “Governor Hochul, listen to where the people are at. The people of the city do not want to see our kids go hungry. They do not want people to sleep out of the street or lack healthcare. They want the very rich to start paying their fair share of taxes.”

Many other speakers came and condemned the inequality, and the unaffordability in New York. “You are giving America hope,” said Bernie Sanders.
