The African Immigrants’ Commission of NY& CT, Inc in partnership with African Advocates Against AIDS and the Alliance for positive Change kicked off on Sunday, November 22nd,20220 in Harlem, World AIDS Day 2020 with Mobile HIV and HEPATITIS C testing.
“Everyone who got tested was provided with a $20 gift card from Amazon,” said Mory Kouyate chairman of African Immigrants’ Commission of NY& CT, Inc .He added that “it was not a day to celebrate but to educate and create awareness about prevention and to discuss resources available to those that are living with AIDS.”

Government, health officials, non-governmental organizations, and individuals around the world observe the day, often with education on AIDS prevention and control of the pandemic. “We must not forget that AIDS is still a very infectious and dangerous disease and that people must continue to protect themselves as we continue to protect ourselves against COVID-19,” Mory Kouyate said.
