A street in Queens was co – named on May 17, 2025, Raymond “Freaky Tah” Rogers Way.
Several people from the neighborhood including some elected officials came to celebrate what they called “a legendary day,” as a sign bearing the name Raymond “Freaky Tah” Rogers, was unfolded by the Queens borough president Donovan Richards and New York City council speaker Adrienne E. Adams. The corner of the block 134th Avenue & Guy R. Brewer Boulevard will now also be called 134th Avenue & Raymond “Freaky Tah” Rogers Way.

“This sign will remain forever,” said Queens borough president Donovan Richards who knew Raymond “Freaky Tah Rogers. “You are a such inspiration to us growing up. You get the tone; you told our stories in this neighborhood.” He said. “We will never forget the day you got killed.”
Rapper Freaky Tah was a member of the hot hip-hop group Lost Boyz. He was an idol in Queens, his neighborhood where he championed hard work and non – violence. But he was shot dead in 1999 when he was 28 years old.

This was an opportunity for the Queens Borough president to speak about gun violence. “We have a lot of work to do about gun violence,” he said. “We have to be better; our community have to be better.”
According to Tyrell “Ty” Hankerson, chief of staff of New York City council speaker Adrienne E. Adams, “Raymond “Freaky Tah Rogers ‘influence has been seen and felt even to this day.”
Raymond “Freaky Tah Rogers ‘family, and friends came and said how great, friendful, and inspirational he was.
“People will see this sign. They will be reminded of the gold, of the story in the true that come to our community,” Tyrell “Ty” Hankerson said.
